Mannlig Grammy-dominans

Sju mannlige artister og band fikk seks nominasjoner hver da Grammy-nominasjonene kom i natt.

Frank Ocean, fun., Mumford & Sons, Jay-Z, Kanye West og Dan Auerbach fra The Black Keys fikk alle sammen navnene sine lest opp seks ganger da Grammy-nominasjonene ble annonsert.

Fun

Det skjedde under en egen nominasjonskonsert i Nashville natt til torsdag. Selve prisutdelingsseremonien vil finne sted 10. februar i Los Angeles.

Gruppa fun., som blant annet har hat en kjempehit med låta “We Are Young”, ble blant annet nominert i alle «hovedkategoriene», årets single, årets låt og årets album, i tillegg til årets beste nye artist.

Rocka album

Årets album har ofte vært dominert av kvinnelige artister, men er i år gitar- og banjo-dominert med Mumford & Sons’ Babel, Fun.s Some Nights, Jack Whites Blunderbuss og the Black Keys’ El Camino. Kun P3-favoritten Frank Ocean bryter trenden med sin channel Orange.

Sammen med Ocean og fun. Skal Hunter Hayes, Alabama Shakes og the Lumineers kjempe om tittelen «Best New Artist».

Få kvinnepriser

Årets tre kanskje aller mest dominerende kvinnelige artister, Adele, Rihanna og Taylor Swift må alle nøye seg med henholdsvis én, to og tre nominasjoner.

Adele er kun nominert for en liveprestasjon med låta “Set Fire To The Rain” i kategorien «Best Pop Solo Performance», mens Rihanna er nominert i samme kategori for “Where Have You Been” og for beste rap-samarbeid, for “Talk That Talk” med Jay-Z.

Taylor Swift kan vinne priser i kategorien «Best Country Duo Performance» for “Safe & Sound” med the Civil Wars, i kategorien «Record Of The Year» for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” og for “Safe & Sound” fra The Hunger Games i kategorien «Best Song Written For Visual Media».
